S9 is run by german art historian Annette Scholl and operates as an online only viewing room with a focus on discourse, aesthetics and ecopolitics of contemporary art practice: constructions and deconstructions of the natural and the artificial. By playfully creating fiktive room situations S9 shifts towards new immersive ways of displaying art.

The digital art market helps us to take our responsability for climate change and ecolocial footsteps seriously. We dont have to physicially travel to connect with art and artists. The former paradigma of personal presence - we all know it as the "dogma" of the vernissage - as a value in itself needs to be questioned. Therefore we proclaim: The artist is absent. The art is online. S9 vision is driven by the idea of a more sustainable and eco responsibable artmarket. At this point S9 adresses collectors and artists with core ethical values. All artworks presented are available directly from the artists, all prices are transparent at any time.

Connect art, artists and collectors with sustainable eco-engagement

We aim to connect the artworld with the idea of sustainable climate protection. Therefore we donate 5% of the price for each artwork to a NGO working in the field of climate and nature protection. NGOs are proposed by the artist and will be decided by the collector.
